My name is Jessi, I originate from Cornwall, and I started my first dog training business when I was seventeen. I have been training for fun and competing in local competitions since I was ten, when my family got me a Chihuahua mix - following many years of begging for a puppy. When I was seventeen, living on a farm, I brought home my first dog of my own, a rescued German Shepherd x Spaniel mix named Luca. As my first working dog, I found I had to learn increasingly fast and, in the process, found a deep adoration and passion for training dogs. Together we did a wide array of sports, such as retrieval work, agility and competitive obedience. I fell in love with the process of learning together, watching his cognitive skills develop and problem solving as a team. I learnt that dog training is not about control, but about creating an immovable bond through leadership. Earning his trust and building a beautiful relationship with him changed the trajectory of my life, and that's when I knew I wanted to help other people develop this wonderful feeling of trust, reliability and partnership with their own pets - and maybe to show off, just a little!
